Mervyn Charlton - Painter

Born in 1945 I was nearly 30 before I decided to pursue a career in art and following Foundation in my home town of Loughton I graduated from Nottingham Art College with a BA in Fine Art. I was fortunate to be involved in the Metropolitan Wharf Studios in Wapping in the early 1980’s when my work was seen by Moira Kelly of Islington who gave me my first one man show. I have since had 8 one man shows and numerous Group shows. Collections include Nancy Balfour, Lady Patricia Gibberd, Coopers & Lybrand, the National Art Gallery Kuala Lumpur, Avia Willment, Electra Management.
