Rook Lane Arts
Rook Lane Chapel is a magnificent Grade 1 listed building in the heart of Frome. Founded in 1707 as a non-Conformist meeting house. The building now houses NVB Architects and Rook Lane Arts Trust which was set up in 2002 to maintain and promote Rook Lane Chapel as a venue for all the arts.
The trust attracts local and national visual and performing arts of the highest quality to this magnificent building with the aim to help educate the public in all aspects of the Arts. The range of activities which take place within this space, like its re-design, combine a respect for the past and a celebration of the contemporary.
The space, available to hire, is equipped with seating, portable staging, professional lighting and an exhibition hanging system. Complementing the original structure, there is a striking contemporary gallery area and garden to the rear of the chapel. Weddings and conferences for up to 200 guests can also be held in this wonderful venue. The trust is staffed by an administrator, supported by an active board of trustees and volunteers, and by NVB Architects.
